Mancy Tong

Biography

Mancy Tong is a Postdoctoral Associate in the laboratory of Dr Vikki Abrahams in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the Yale School of Medicine. Her research investigates how infection and neutrophils contribute to the development of preterm birth. Mancy obtained her Ph.D from The University of Auckland, New Zealand in 2017 where she studied the cargos of placental extracellular vesicles and their effects on the maternal vascular system.

Mancy has always had a passion for mentoring and as a coordinator of the Mentorship Committee, Mancy is excited to meet other like-minded individuals and to promote good mentorship practice to improve the Yale postdoc experience.
