Role: Professional Development Subcommittee Member
Dr. Nadia Ayala-Lopez is a first year Postdoctoral Associate in the laboratory of Dr. Diane Krause in the Yale School of Medicine. Her goal is to find a potential drug target by studying how a common fusion protein found in some patients with acute megakaryoblastic leukemia negatively affects the function of megakaryoblasts, the cells that make platelets. Nadia earned her PhD from Michigan State University, where she was active in planning Professional Development efforts in collaboration with the graduate school. At Yale, Nadia wants to help develop targeted activities for Postdocs motivated to grow their career.
