Nadia Ayala-Lopez

Biography:
Nadia Ayala-Lopez is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine and a Chair of the Yale Postdoctoral Association (YPA). Her research goal is to find a potential leukemia drug target by understanding how a fusion protein found in patients with acute megakaryoblastic leukemia leads to the leukemia. Nadia has a special interest in helping others advance in their career and has over four years of experience in planning professional development workshops, seminars, and panels. Nadia served as a coordinator for the Professional Development committee where she helped to plan several events including career panels, an orientation to resources at Yale, and a LinkedIn Bootcamp. As YPA Chair, she hopes to continue her efforts to enrich postdoc life at Yale.
