Teaching Scholar Positions Open for BIOL104 (Ecology & Evolutionary Biology)

We have several teaching scholar positions available for BIOL 104 – Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, taught by Tom Near, which is the 4th half-term BIOL module in a 4-module BIOL series. Lectures are M/W from 11:35-12:50 in OML 202. Weekly teaching team meetings take place immediately following Monday lecture and during these meetings, we will go over the material that you will use to lead your very own discussion section. Sections meet weekly. The compensation is for 20hrs/week for the half term.  The first lecture is on Monday, October 17th.  There is more info in the attached document about the biology sequence in its entirety.  If you’re interested in this position, please fill out the prospective teaching scholar form and contact me (samantha.lin@yale.edu) as soon as possible to set up a time to meet.

Leo Buss will not be teaching BIOL103 during the Fall term, and thus we have removed the writing credit that was once an option.  This means that for the Fall term, there will effectively be less work.  If you are teaching beyond requirement, we will compensate you for this module. If you are a post-doctoral fellow, there is also the option to be compensated. In addition, other teaching opportunities may be open to you during the summer, as we often selectively choose members of the teaching staff to help us develop curriculum for additional compensation.
