Nhung Ho (PhD in Astronomy, Yale ‘13), current Data Science team lead at Intuit, returns to campus to argue that a PhD, regardless of discipline, equips you with skills that are highly sought after in the Tech industry.  A PhD is a gateway to careers such as Data Science, Engineering, Product Management, Strategy, and Marketing, among others.  Nhung will talk about her experience in applying skills learned at Yale to her career in Data Science, and how these same skills can be transferred to other areas such as Product Management and Marketing. Nhung will also talk about internships and early-career programs available at Intuit that will help ease the transition from academia to industry. This event is open to all PhDs and postdocs.

Friday, February 19, 5.30pm-6.30pm | 55 Whitney Ave., 3rd Floor (room 369)
