SarahAnn McFadden

Role: Secretary Coordinator

SarahAnn is a postdoctoral associate in Dr. Saad Omer’s research group in the Yale Institute for Global Health. Broadly, her research interest is vaccine hesitancy and acceptance. More specifically, she is interested in science communication and leveraging trust in nurses to improve community level vaccine coverage. She completed her PhD in Nursing Science with Dr. Betty Bekemeier at the University of Washington, where she studied county-level toddler immunization completion.

In addition to research, SarahAnn is very interested in education and learning to be an effective lecturer; she is currently working on a Certificate of College Teaching Preparation. Part of her professional development goals are for graduate students and postdocs to have more opportunities to learn to be effective instructors.
