Biography:

Sudheesh, a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at Yale University, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. Having completed his PhD at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology in Kerala, India, where he specialized in unraveling the fundamental mechanism of 3’-end processing of eukaryotic mRNAs, Sudheesh has a strong foundation in RNA and molecular biology.
 
At Yale, Sudheesh’s postdoctoral research revolves around delving into the intricacies of the RNA regulatory pathway in stem cells and regeneration, employing the fascinating planarian, Schmidtea mediterranea as a model organism. His dedication to advancing our understanding of this field is commendable.
 
Beyond the confines of the laboratory, Sudheesh finds joy in engaging in science outreach, teaching, traveling, and hiking. As an active member of the Yale Postdoctoral Association (YPA), Sudheesh is driven to collaborate with fellow postdocs and extend the reach of the community’s activities to a wider audience.
