Mental health first aid

Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health related crisis. As leaders in our fields, it is important to be able to provide appropriate support to our peers and mentees. This course will teach you to recognize risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. We are hoping to organize this course for Spring 2020. If you’d like to help organize this event, please contact us at ypa@yale.edu.

Psychodrama

Psychodrama is a group activity to act out and discuss lived experiences that have been troubling. A Yale Postdoc, Bekir Artukoglu, is organizing Psychodrama gatherings, which will take place every month, on the last Wednesday, from 6-7pm.
