Alexandra Bergfort

Biography:  

Alexandra is an EMBO postdoctoral fellow at the Yale department for Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. Her research focuses on fundamental mechanisms of co-transcriptional pre-mRNA splicing in human cells. Alexandra obtained her PhD in Biochemistry at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, in 2020, where she investigated structure and function of intrinsically disordered splicing factors. Besides her love for RNA-Biochemistry, Alexandra is passionate about languages, hiking, Latin dances, and surfing.
