Angela Victoria-Castro

Angela is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Clinical and Translational Research Accelerator at Yale University. She obtained her MD degree at Icesi University (Colombia) and then she received a MSc degree in Epidemiology from Libre University (Colombia). Her research during her mandatory social service year in Colombia, involved the identification of preventable risk factors in adults with chronic metabolic diseases, and healthcare gaps in individuals with different infectious diseases, underscoring her long-term desire to use research to generate broad changes in public health. Angela aspires to be an internist involved in clinical research, her research interests are chronic diseases and social health determinants. She is always eager to learn, and she is looking forward to working with the YPA Symposium Committee.
