Aranyak Goswami

Role: Symposium Committee Member

Aranyak Goswami is a second-year postdoctoral associate working at the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center in the lab of Prof. Stefania Nicoli. He is a computational biologist and bioinformatician analyzing large-scale transcriptomic datasets to understand the genetic mechanisms taking zebrafish as a model organism. He completed his PhD at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology in the fields of computational microbiome evolution, human microbiome, and host-pathogen interactions reflecting on such dynamics especially in humans and viruses. In the first year of his postdoc at Yale, he has worked on statistical modeling and genome-wide association studies across large-scale human populations. Apart from academic research, Aranyak is interested in popular science, writing, playing chess, and studying different aspects of filmmaking.
