Emily Mrig

Biography:

Emily is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Yale University School of Public Health. Her postdoctoral research focuses on the broader institutional, community, and policy factors that shape access to healthcare, the origins of health disparities, and the possibility of health policy interventions to produce effective change. Emily earned a PhD in health and behavioral sciences and an MA in medical anthropology from the University of Colorado Denver. In addition to research, she is passionate about teaching and mentoring students at every stage of their academic and professional journey. As a YPA representative, Emily is committed to promoting and advocating for a healthy and safe academic environment at Yale.
