Kelly Smart

Biography:

Kelly is a postdoctoral associate at the Yale PET Center working in the laboratories of Drs. Richard Carson and Ansel Hillmer. Her research explores neurochemical mechanisms of psychiatric disorders using human and translational brain imaging. She completed her PhD in neuroscience at McGill University studying glutamate plasticity during stimulant drug exposure and her MSc in Pharmacology at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health studying dopamine mechanisms of gambling reward. At Yale, she is developing and applying methods to study novel aspects of neurotransmission in humans using PET and MR imaging.
