Marco Galimberti

Biography:

Marco is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Gelernter lab, which investigates psychiatric genetics in the Yale School of Medicine. His research is focused on finding the association between the human genome and mental disorders, in particular alcohol use disorders and obsessive compulsive disorders. He received his MS in Medical Physics from the University of Pisa (Italy) and he completed his PhD in Bioinformatics at the University of (Fribourg) Switzerland in the group of Prof. Wegmann.
 
He is also passionate about fencing (captain of the men’s foil team which reached the second position in 2017 Swiss Universitary Championship), skiing, windsurfing and many other sports!
