Nikolay Gresko

Biography Nikolay completed his MD training at the Russian State Medical University in Moscow with specialization in Immunology and Medical Biochemistry. His medical research was focused on the mechanisms of the innate immunity response developed by the Natural Killer (NK) cells. Nikolay then continued his translational training by joining the Integrative Human Medicine program at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. His PhD thesis focused on the molecular mechanisms of the metabolic syndrome development and the identification of the molecular link between salt sensitive hypertension and hyperglycemia in type two diabetes patients. At Yale, Nikolay’s research is focused on the molecular mechanisms of polycystic kidney disease and renal fibrosis.
