Nour Al-muhtasib

Biography:

Nour Al-muhtasib is a postdoctoral fellow in Nii Addy’s group in the Department of Psychiatry. Her current work focuses on how synaptic physiology is altered in a rat model of cocaine addiction and withdrawal. More specifically she studies the VTA, a brain structure important for reward and drug addiction. She utilizes behavioral models of addiction and electrophysiology to conduct her research. In addition to lab work, she is passionate about mental health and making Yale a more inclusive place. You can read some of her articles here.
