Sreya Das

Biography:

Sreya Das is a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Pharmacology and her current research focusses on understanding the molecular basis of certain cerebral disorders. 

During her PhD (2021) from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, she has worked on deciphering the roles of T-cell derived cytokine on the migratory behavior of human primary cells, and cancer cell metastasis. She has obtained her M.Sc. (2013) from University of Calcutta, India and B.Sc. (2011) from St. Xavier’s College, India. 

Along with academics, she is very passionate about dance. During her tenure in IIT Bombay she has choreographed several group dance performances and conducted workshops. Her forte is Bollywood with basic training in Bharatnatyam. Yoga, cooking, painting and hiking are some of her other hobbies.
