Thazin Nwe Aung

Role: Professional Development Committee Member

Thazin N Aung completed her Ph.D. in biomedical science at the University of Adelaide, Australia in 2019 and has since been working as a postdoctoral associate in the laboratory of Dr. David Rimm in Yale School of Medicine. Her work focuses on developing signature prognostic/predictive protein biomarkers associated with non-recurrence and non-responsiveness to immunotherapy. She has a strong commitment to science communication, and she is passionate about providing scientifically accurate content about the advances in our understanding of the cancer development and treatments options to the general community.

Thazin has a genuine interest in networking and engaging with the scientific community, which brings together experts across disciplines to unlock the biology of cancer. She is keen on participating in fun and exciting professional development events/activities within the postdoc community at Yale.  She enjoys making new friends, exploring new restaurants and travelling in her free time.
