Volunteer

Want to volunteer with the YPA? We are always looking for new postdocs to take on roles as committee member or coordinators. By volunteering you gain valuable professional experience and a chance to network with fellow Yale Postdocs. Interested?   • Advocacy Committee

    Addresses the unmet needs in the postdoc community, including those related to inclusion, diversity and their general wellbeing.

  • Belonging Committee

    Our mission is to create a diverse, inclusive and supportive community of postdocs, whose voices and contributions are valued and respected.

  • Communications Committee

    Makes sure that Yale postdocs will receive all the news and information necessary about events, seminars, workshops etc to keep on top of their game!

  • Symposium Committee

    Organizes a yearly Symposium exclusively for Postdocs and Associate Research Scientists (ARS) to celebrate and share their research.

  • Mentorship Committee

    In charge of organizing seminars and workshops and providing resources to promote successful mentorship practice.

  • Community & Networking Committee

    In charge of the organizing events which will bring postdocs together in informal settings, allow them to meet new friends and colleagues, network and have fun.

  • Professional Development Committee

    Organizes career events, seminars, and facilitates activities in collaboration with several Yale offices. 

  • Secretary Committee

    Secretaries maintain records of the YPA’s activities, ensure that each meeting progresses smoothly, and finalize both the meeting agenda and the meeting minutes.

  • Treasury Committee

    The Treasury committee is in charge of managing the YPA budget, and generating creative ways to expand it.
