Afsheen is a postdoctoral research scholar with a focus on sex-based disparities in cardiovascular diseases. Through the advocacy efforts, Afsheen hopes to address the many vulnerabilities postdoctoral trainees face during this transitional stage of their career. She plans to advocate towards a consistent and stable mentorship design for career oversight for the postdoctoral trainees at Yale.
