Anfeng Luo is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Urology at Yale School of Medicine, working in Dr. Su Deng’s lab, which he joined in January 2025. His research focuses on the epigenetic mechanisms driving drug resistance in prostate cancer, with the long-term goal of developing new therapies and training toward an independent career as a cancer biologist.
He earned his Ph.D. in Immunology from Capital Medical University in 2024. From 2019 to 2024, he conducted epigenetics research as a visiting student at the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he used biochemical and biophysical approaches to study how histone modifications and chaperones regulate chromatin dynamics and cancer-related gene expression. He received several honors during his doctoral training, including the National Scholarship.
Outside the lab, Anfeng enjoys playing basketball and soccer, as well as hiking and other outdoor activities.
