Anubha is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Internal Medicine at Yale University, with a strong multidisciplinary background and a passion for bridging fundamental science with translational research.
She began her scientific journey through entrepreneurship-focused projects in Delhi, India and pursued her Ph.D. at the University of Tübingen and the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in Germany. She later continued as a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute, where she investigated receptor-ligand interactions. Since moving to Yale, her research has focused on the dynamics of neurotransmitter transporters and, more recently, on the mechanisms underlying chronic liver disease using both stem cell-based and animal models.
In addition to her research, before being elected as Chair, Anubha was actively involved in the Yale Postdoctoral Association (YPA), where she was part of multiple committees. She has led efforts in organizing symposiums, career development panels, and advocacy initiatives to support postdocs at all levels. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and empowering academic environment. She’s excited to engage with fellow postdocs at Yale and collaborate on initiatives that strengthen the postdoctoral experience.
Outside the lab and her leadership roles, Anubha enjoys traveling, photography, music, watching sports, and spending quality time with friends and family.
