Cecilia Romaro

Cecilia is currently a postdoctoral associate at the Department of Biostatistics, Yale School of Public Health under Prof. Robert McDougal’s guidance, working on the Neuron simulator development.

She completed her PhD at the University of São Paulo in Brazil, studying computational neuroscience. She holds a Master’s degree and one undergraduate degree from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, studying Biomedical and Electrical Engineering respectively. Cecilia also has a second undergraduate degree in Molecular Science from the same university. She has always been fascinated by neurons.

During her undergraduate studies, Cecilia joined the athletics team as an athlete and event director. Now, she is happy to contribute to YPA.

Curiosities: Cecilia has already worked as a medical equipment development engineer, an airline pilot (passengers and cargo), and has driven a farm truck and a boat. Cecilia’s extracurricular interests include triathlons, running races, CrossFit, Futsal, going to the gym, weightlifting, flying aircraft, and volunteer work.
