Jyot is a postdoc in Paul Turner Lab (Ecology & Evolutionary Biology). He is studying the physics of how bacteriophages, the viruses of bacteria, interact with their hosts. Spoilers: the viruses “walk” along the surface! Jyot obtained his PhD from Texas A&M University (USA) in 2021, where he studied how bacteria move and sense their surroundings.
