Magdalena is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale School of Medicine, where she explores the role of lipid and cholesterol metabolism in the brain, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s disease. With a strong background in studying lipids in diabetes, NASH, and atherosclerosis, she brings diverse expertise to her research.
She holds a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Pablo de Olavide University in Sevilla, Spain, and a Master’s in Translational Biomedical Research from the University of Cordoba, where she also earned her Ph.D. During her Ph.D. studies, she focused on dietary management of type 2 diabetes in patients with a history of cardiovascular events, in addition to projects on the Mediterranean diet and probiotics in cognitive health.
Passionate about teaching and mentorship, Magdalena is a coordinator in the Modern Instructor Program at Yale, helping postdocs gain teaching experience in a supportive environment.
