Marielle is a postdoctoral associate working with the Cancer Outcomes and Public Policy Effectiveness Research (COPPER) center in the Department of Internal Medicine. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and provided care to older adults across a variety of practice settings before pursuing her PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Her research focuses on leveraging large datasets to understand the overlapping role of physical function and housing environments in health outcomes for older adults with cancer. Beyond her academic pursuits, Marielle enjoys live jazz performances, playing strategy board games, and exploring the local food scene.
