Meredith is an NIH T32 Fellow in the lab of Dr. Edward Manning in the Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Section within the Department of Internal Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. A native of Alabama, she received her PhD from the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama in the lab of Dr. Troy Stevens. Her scientific interests include the lung-brain axis and cardiopulmonary dysfunction seen in the aftermath of pulmonary infectious disease. Her doctoral worked focused on the role of γ-secretase activating protein in the heart, lungs, and brain in rats in the aftermath of pneumonia. Her postdoctoral work has focused on inflammatory proteinuria and separately, on the impact of acute silica exposure on the cardiopulmonary system. When not in the lab, Meredith enjoys playing tennis, live music, and hanging out with her dogs Pundit and Napoleon.
