Nai Yang is a postdoctoral associate in the laboratory of Dr. Lieping Chen in the Department of Immunobiology at Yale School of Medicine. His current research aims to discover novel immunosuppressive modulators that can be targeted by antibodies to improve immunotherapy treatments for cancer. Nai Yang obtained his PhD in 2025 from National Tsing Hua University and Academia Sinica in Taiwan, where he identified crucial proteins that determine the fate selection machinery of multivesicular bodies and elucidated how they contribute to exosome biogenesis, cancer metastasis, and immune evasion in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and melanoma. When not in the lab, he enjoys reading, playing the piano, cooking, and baking. He is absolutely obsessed with English scones!
