Nancy is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Brodersen Lab (Physiological Plant Ecology) at the School of the Environment. Her research is focused on leaves; in particular, untangling the role of a leaf’s structural physiology its overall photosynthetic performance. Before starting at Yale, Nancy completed her PhD under the supervision of Professor Tiina Roose in the Bioengineering Research Group at the University of Southampton, UK.

As a new postdoc, Nancy has been very grateful for the social outlet of the YPA and has made lots of new connections through organized events and getting involved in the committee. To fill the remainder of her free time, Nancy enjoys film, painting, and engaging in her two new sporting passions - bouldering and rugby!
