Nicole is a general surgery resident taking a few dedicated years to focus on research in cardiac transplant surgery. Her work centers on immunobiology and extracellular vesicles, with a particular interest in transplant rejection detection. Her dedication to advancing this research was recognized with the TSF 2025 Catalyst Award for Research Support.
As Co-Chair of Communications, Nicole is passionate about fostering collaboration and ensuring this year’s symposium is both insightful and well promoted. Beyond the lab and the committee, Nicole finds balance through movement—training for half marathons, exploring new countries, and winding down with after-work sailing adventures. She’s also a dedicated home cook, a farmers market enthusiast, and a trivia lover who enjoys the challenge of recalling obscure facts at just the right moment. She’s excited to help shape this year’s symposium and looks forward to meaningful conversations, innovative research, and maybe even a few unexpected collaborations along the way.
