I am a postdoctoral associate in the Slavoff Lab at the Yale Institute of Biomolecular Design and Discovery, where I study microproteins from the “dark proteome” - a hidden layer of human biology encoded by non-canonical open reading frames. My research sits at the intersection of molecular biology, cancer science, and translational biotechnology, with a focus on defining the functional roles of the non-canonical proteome in patient-derived melanoma models.
I am driven by the goal of converting fundamental discovery science into clinically and biotechnologically meaningful applications.
Outside the lab, I enjoy traveling, exploring new cultures and cuisines, and unwinding with good films and movie nights.
