Nooshin is a Postdoctoral Associate in Professor De La Cruz’s lab in the Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. Her research focuses on understanding how force and nucleotide state influence Arp2/3 debranching.
She earned her Ph.D. in Physics from Wesleyan University in 2021, and her M.S. in Photonics from the University of Kashan, Iran, in 2013. During her doctoral studies, she developed quantum dot-assisted techniques for studying molecular interactions at the single-molecule level.
Outside the lab, Nooshin enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, traveling, and solving puzzles.
