Sandeep is a postdoctoral associate in Neuroscience at the Yale School of Medicine, where he investigates how neural circuits in C. elegans integrate sensory inputs to guide navigation and decision-making. He earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Princeton University, where his research focused on understanding context-dependent mechanosensory processing in C. elegans.
Beyond research, Sandeep is deeply engaged in mentorship and teaching. He served as a Graduate Peer Coach at Princeton’s McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning, a Diversity & Inclusion Fellow in the Office of the Provost, and a Resident Graduate Student at Rockefeller College, where he created initiatives to foster inclusion and community.
Outside of research, Sandeep enjoys cooking Indian cuisine, playing cricket, exploring aquariums, and spending time with his corgi.
