Shannon is a postdoc in the lab of Sunil Parikh in the Department of Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases at the Yale School of Public Health. She completed her PhD in microbiology and immunology at McGill University in Montreal where she studied the molecular epidemiology of zoonotic tuberculosis in South Asia and the pathogenesis of bovine mycobacteria in animal models. At Yale, she is investigating the diagnostic performance of a non-invasive diagnostic for malaria in Cameroon and Burkina Faso. Outside of the lab, Shannon enjoys running long distance and spoiling her dog Watson.
