Past Event: YPA Book Club: The Seersucker Whipsaw

YPA Book Club Flyer

This event has passed.

Love books or want to read more? Want to discuss books  in a casual, friendly setting? Join the Yale Postdoctoral Association for the next installment of our book club on Thursday, December 5th at 6:30 pm.

In December we are reading The Seersucker Whipsaw by Ross Thomas. The Seersucker Whipsaw is a thrilling tale of political intrigue and deception, following two American con men as they navigate a web of corruption and danger in a fictional African nation during a high-stakes election. (Content warning for themes of racial tension, violence, and language.)

Have a suggestion of what we should read next? Want to discuss the book but can't make it in person? Want to borrow a copy of this month's book from the group? Join the #book-club channel on the YPA Slack. (To join, go to https://join.slack.com/t/ypa-yale/signup, join the slack, select "Add channels", and search for "book-club". Reply to the pinned comment to suggest books for future meetings!).
