Anne-Marie Rickmann

Biography: Anne-Marie Rickmann is a postdoc at the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, School of Medicine. She earned her doctoral degree from Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich, where her research focused on the development of deep learning techniques for the segmentation of 3D MRI and CT scans of the brain. Prior to studying Computer Science, Anne gained practical experience in the medical field as a nurse, working across various disciplines.

Currently, during her postdoc, she works with Professors James Duncan and Albert Sinusas to advance deep learning methods for multimodal cardiac image analysis. Her work specifically involves designing machine learning algorithms for analyzing 4D echocardiography and CT data, aiming to improve therapeutic approaches.

In her free time, Anne enjoys making pizza, hiking, camping and traveling.
