Biography:

I am a Postdoctoral associate working in the Weinberger/Wyllie lab at Yale School of Public Health. My research focuses on investigating drivers of Streptococcus pneumoniae transmission, epidemiology of respiratory viruses, and the role of the microbiome in respiratory infections. My previous work investigated interactions between respiratory microbiome and vaccines in children, including the impact of vaccines on microbiome dynamics including colonization dynamics of clinically relevant species such as Streptococcus pneumoniae. The overarching goal of my research is to understand the influence of microbial community ecology (microbiome) on pathogen carriage, invasion, and disease outcomes, including the influence of the microbiome in performance of clinical interventions in children, particularly in high disease burden settings.
