Dagmar Zigackova

Biography: 

Dasha is a Postdoctoral Associate in Prof. Karla Neugebauer’s lab at the Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. She focuses on unraveling the intricacies of mRNA processing in red blood cell development and related blood diseases. She earned her doctorate at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic under the guidance of Prof. Stepanka Vanacova. Dasha strongly values the impact of effective mentorship on both professional and personal development for postdocs. Committed to this belief, she aims to provide current Yale postdocs with opportunities to receive supportive mentorship and to become trained mentors who can make a positive impact on future generations.
