Domenica Berardi

Domenica is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences in the Yale School of Public Health. Her postdoctoral research aims to develop a deeper understanding of the metabolic changes that influence colorectal etiology, progression, and response to therapeutics. Moreover, her research integrates metabolomics analyses with studies on environmental exposures, birth cohorts, and early-onset cancers to understand biological responses to exposure in various contexts.

She received her Ph.D. from University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow, where she studied the metabolic bases of the human aging process. Outside the lab, Domenica enjoys connecting with people fostering kindness and gentleness as the main values in communication. She is looking forward to contributing to the YPA and supporting its community and initiatives.
