Ivan Bespalov

Biography:

Ivan is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Energy Sciences Institute. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from TU Wien, Austria in 2016, and did postdoctoral research at the Advanced Research Center for Nanolithography and Leiden University, the Netherlands. In his research, he addresses the challenges in basic energy sciences using advanced electron microscopy. At Yale, he explores the application of electron microscopy together with advanced synthesis methods for the discovery and study of new quantum materials. Ivan enjoys rock climbing and playing acoustic guitar.
