Rado Janostiak

Role: Community and Networking Committee Coordinator

Biography:

I am a Postdoctoral Associate in dr. Wajapeyee lab in Department of Pathology. My research focuses on characterization of signaling pathways governing growth and dissemination of melanoma, breast and pancreatic cancer, as well as on mechanisms of acquired drug resistance. I received my PhD from Charles University in Prague and before joining Yale I spent more than a year at Columbia University in New York doing research on brain tumors. Besides doing science, I write science-popularizing articles because I believe that communicating science to public is very important. When I´m not in the lab I enjoy traveling, sports, outdoor adventures and party events.
