Tamrin Chowdhury

Role: Communications Committee Member

Biography: 

Tamrin is a postdoc in the lab of Prof. Roel Verhaak in the Department of Neurosurgery at Yale School of Medicine. Her research focuses on computational analysis of brain tumors, especially gliomas, to explore the complex biology of the disease. Tamrin completed medical school in her home country, Bangladesh, and then pursued a research career, completing her master’s and PhD from Seoul National University in South Korea. 

She joined the YPA communications committee to meet and connect with other postdocs and researchers at Yale and get inspired by their works. 

In her leisure time, Tamrin loves to get lost in the world of books. Some of her favorite book genres include fantasy, sci-fi, and romance.
