Thomas Torng

Biography: Thomas is a Postdoctoral Associate in Dr. Jonathon Howard’s lab in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. His project is to study the kinetics of the activity of the enzyme spastin on microtubules in a supported lipid bilayer system. Thomas completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University, majoring in Biology and Chemistry, and later went to Dartmouth College where he got his Biochemistry PhD under Dr. William Wickner. His long-term career goal is to teach a college-level course on critical thinking and communication.
