Biography:
Tommaso Volpi is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, in the lab of Professor Richard Carson.
After his MD graduation, and a research period in Washington University in St. Louis, he obtained a PhD in brain imaging in 2023 from the University of Padova, Italy, with a focus on positron emission tomography (PET) and resting-state functional MRI. His main scientific interests concern the use of PET kinetic modeling as an exciting tool to understand physiology, and the integration of PET- and MRI-derived measures to study brain function in health and disease.
Besides research, Tommaso enjoys hiking, going to museums and galleries, reading, and watching dramas and fantasy shows.
