Registration and abstract submission
Registration for 6th Annual Postdoctoctoral Symposium on May 25, 2023 is now closed. All Yale Postdocs and ARSs are welcome to attend talks and the poster session, but food and headshots will be limited to those who registered before the deadline. This will be a hybrid event in OC Marsh Lecture Hall in the Yale Science Building and talks will be streamed on Zoom.
The postdoc symposium welcomes postdocs and ARSs from a variety of disciplines. As such, presenters should prepare their talks/posters for a broad academic audience and aim to make their research accessible to attendees outside of their specific field. For some tips, please see this page.
There is no strict requirement for poster format, but posters should fit on a 36” x 48” board. Options for printing locally include YPPS, Docuprintnow, TYCO Print, and FedEx printing. You may also use a poster that you already have.
FAQs
Who can register to attend the symposium?
Any Postdoc or Associate Research Scientist at Yale can attend the symposium.
To foster a welcoming environment for Postdocs to network and present, aside from a selected few guests, no PI/faculty members will be in attendance, nor will any graduate or undergraduate students.
Where is the symposium?
Who will be presenting?
Any Postdoc or Associate Research Scientist (or equivalent level) can submit an abstract to be considered for presentation. We only ask that you are affiliated to Yale and that you present a project done at Yale (or in a Yale-associated structure). We also welcome presentations that can be of major interest to the community (tools, services, experiences, community improvement, etc).
